PURPOSE:To remove the float in a water receiving vessel and provide a stable device to stop filling to full of water by providing a metal plate in the water receiving vessel and sensing an increase in the electrostatic capacity between the metal plate and the dehumidification water to stop automatically the operation of a dehumidifier. CONSTITUTION:A dehumidifier sucks air from an air suction port 1, and when the air goes through a cooler 4, its temperature drops below the dew point temperature and condensate on a cooler 4, and the dehumidification water is led to a removable water receiving vessel 8 that is arranged below the dew receiving pan 7. As the time passes the water level rises. The fact that the water level reaches a specified water level is sensed by the increase in the electrostatic capacity between the metal plate 9 and the dehumidification water. Two pieces of metal plates are arranged perpendicularly to the water face, and the difference in electrostatic capacity between the metal plate and the earth is kept below a specified value. As the water face of the dehumidification water increases and rises, the electrostatic capacity between the metal plate 12 on the lower side and the earth through water becomes very large, and there is a large difference between this capacity and the electrostatic capacity between the upper metal plate 13 and the earth.
