In same bath continuous dyeing of woven or knitted fabric composed of composite yarns of fiber-forming polyester and polyamide, swelling agent and alkali solution are used compatibly to improve separation effect of polyester and polyamide even with low concentration and to make continuous dyeing in the same bath possible with swelling agent's function as a carrier. Swelling agent of organic solvent is expressed as formular (I), alkali solution as an equation of (1.34-0.26 x B)/(N+1) <= N <= (1.60-0.20 x B)/(N+1) [N= concn. of alkali; B= concn. of organic solvent; n = 0 or 1 , and swelling agent's application temperature satisfies anequation of Tg-20 <= T <= Tg+20 [Tg= glass transition temp. of PET; T= application temp. of swelling agent . In (I), R is -H, - CH3, -CH2OH or -C6H6; n is 0 or 1.
