The present invention relates to a device and to the improvements which can be grafted onto a trailer (1) for a car, of a maximum laden weight of 500 kg, allowing the transportation and erection of a closed pen for a dog (fig. 3). The elements constituting this pen, that is to say the netting (7) and the two corner posts (8) are wound up around a spindle in the box structures (4) mounted on each side of the trailer. Thus, in the folded-up position, these box structures do not change the dimensional characteristics of the trailer. In addition to this device, there is a hood made of polyester resin (2) and front gates (9). The usefulness of this "trailer" is to keep, in captivity, when the environment, or the aggressive behaviour of the animal in a public place does not allow it to be loose (e.g.: camping). <IMAGE>
