PURPOSE:To obtain the subject cable effective for suppressing the generation of rain vibration and suitable for cable-braced bridge, Nielsen arch bridge, etc., by covering the surface of a cable with corrosionproof layer of a polymeric material having high water-repellency. CONSTITUTION:The objective corrosionproof cable 11 is produced by covering the circumference of a cable 1 composed of an assembly of a number of cable element wires with a corrosionproof coating layer 2 made of a high molecular material having high water-repellency (e.g. fluororesin) or by applying a corrosionproof coating layer 3 of polyethylene, etc., to the cable 1 and covering the surface with the above corrosionproof coating layer 2 made of a high molecular material having high water-repellency. |
