PURPOSE:To continuously obtain the subject elastomer having excellent mold- releasability and coating ability using a reaction injection molding process by using a new sulfur-containing compound as an internal mold release agent in the reaction of a polyisocyanate with a polyol in a closed mold. CONSTITUTION:The objective elastomer can be produced by reacting a reaction mixture containing (A) an aliphatic, alicyclic and/or aromatic polyisocyanate, (B) a polyol having plural active hydrogen groups and a molecular weight of 800-1,200 or a polyether produced by substituting the terminal of the polyol with (aromatic) primary amino, secondary amino or imino, (C) 5-80 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. of the component B) of a chain-extender containing aromatic diamine and (D) an internal mold release agent consisting of a sulfur- containing compound of formula I (R is 8-30C aliphatic hydrocarbon group) in a closed mold. The component D is preferably produced by reacting a mercapto compound of formula II with a halide such as capryl chloride. |
