A spiral displacement pump, particularly for charging i.c. engines, has a sealing device between a fixed housing and the rotor. These seals comprise a curved spring (15) in a set orientation pressed into a groove in the pump spiral against a corresponding sealing face. The spring has elastic stripes parallel to the seal packing (13) and are curved at right angles to the direction of the groove (12). ADVANTAGE - Simplified design.
