In a jukebox with at least one record storage magazine (3) comprising a plurality of record holders (6) each holding one record ( 5) and arranged in superimposed compartments (10), there is a transport device (4) movable up and down the stack of the record storage magazine (3) to move a selected record (5) with its record holder (6) to and fro between the compartment (10) and a playing unit (7). The transport device (4) has an extractor (11) movable horizontally upon it for the record holder (6), a record clamp (22) to hold the record (5) to be played against the turntable (8) of the playing unit (7) and a bracket (15) to take a record holder (6). Here, the top of the bracket (15) has a cover (19) extending fully over the record holder (6) with its record (5).
