A lock for a window or door has a body (3) with two parallel holes which form guides for two bolts (6, 7). The two bolts are actuated by a spring steel strip which is attached to the shaft (2) which is actuated by the handle (1). When the handle (1) is in the position parallel to the bolts (6, 7) both bolts are retracted into the body (3). Rotating the handle (1) through 90 deg. in the clockwise direction presses the bolt (6) into a socket in the fixed frame of the door or window. Rotating the handle in the opposite direction extends the bolt (7) which limits the angle of tilt of the door or window. USE/ADVANTAGE - Window or door lock which provides additional security.
