<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject deinking agent giving reclaimed pulp having high whiteness and low residual ink content by reacting a hydroxyfatty acid with an alkylene oxide, reacting the resultant hydroxyl-containing compound with a polybasic carboxylic acid or its anhydride and using the reaction product as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The objective deinking agent contains, as an active component, a reaction product of a polybasic carboxylic acid or its anhydride and a compound such as (A) a compound produced by the addition reaction of ethylene oxide(EO) and propylene oxide(PO) to a 5-24C hydroxyfatty acid at a molar ratio (EO/PO) of 1-4 and a total amount (EO+PO) of 10-50mol, (B) an ester of a 5-24C hydroxyfatty acid and an alcohol added with EO and PO at a molar ratio (EO/PO) of 1-4 and a total amount (EO+PO) of 10-50mol based on one OH group on an average and (C) a compound produced by adding EO and PO to an ester of a 5-24C hydroxyfatty acid and an alcohol at a molar ratio (EO/PO) of 1-4 and a total amount (EO+PO) of 10-50mol based on one OH group on an average.</p> |
