The sheet plate holding forces on press table cushions are boasted by a device, in which tie-rods to a traverse generate a force flow for a counter holding force. They can be mutually decoupled. The traverse is coupled to the cushion plate by stop bars. The cushion plate carries short stroke cylinders, acting with the drawing ring. The cylinders (4) are of multi-stage type and are charged by multi-way valves (6,7), and pressure accumulators (8,9) with several pressure levels. USE/ADVANTAGE - For drawing presses without complex valving and microprocessor control.
