An improved foamer (1) is disclosed which uses a microporous element (22) contained within a housing (2), a small clearance (27) existing between the microporous element and the housing. A liquid (30) to be foamed is introduced into the housing while air is introduced into an interior region of the microporous element, the air (31) flowing outwardly through the microporous element and mixing with the liquid (30) within the passageway (27), thereby creating a foam which exits the housing at a suitable foam outlet (7). |
