PURPOSE:To obtain a diazo thermal recording material having the high lightfastness of a color-developing picture and the improved uniformity of a color developing layer by using a specific acyl acetoanilide compound as a coupling component. CONSTITUTION:In a diazo thermal recording material having a thermal recording layer composed of a diazo compound, a coupling component, a base and a binding agent on a supporter, a compound shown in formula I is used as the coupling component. R1 represents a substitutional or a non-substitutional alkyl group or aryl group in formula. R2 represents a substitutional or non- substitutional alkyl group or aralkyl group. R3 represents a substitutional or non-substitutional alkyl group, alkoxy group, aralkyloxy group, alkylthio group, or aralkylthio group or a substitutional amino group or a halogen atom. It is favorable that R2 and (R3)n have not less than 5C in total, and (n) represents an integer from 0 or 1 to 4, but R3 may differ respectively when (n) is 2 or more. |
