PURPOSE:To suppress an impulse noise of a pawl member while holding a safe control condition by meshing a pawl end of the pawl member with a sector tooth of a partial tooth member at a large meshing angle, at braking time, and further disengaging the pawl end of the pawl member from the sector tooth of the partial tooth member at a small meshing angle at the time of releasing a brake. CONSTITUTION:When a pedal lever 20 is swiveled by stepping a pedal 24, a brake cable 23 is pulled drawn to generate braking force. Here by moving also a partial tooth member 30 according to swiveling the pedal lever 20, a pawl end 41 of a pawl member 40 is moved to ride across a sector tooth 31 of the partial tooth member 30 by relative displacement from the pawl member 40. A touching noise of the pawl member 40 is low suppressed by a damper 27. On the other hand, when a release handle 49 is pulled, a release cable 48 is pulled drawn to turn a release member 46. Then, a swivel end 142 of the pawl member 40 is pressed by a pressing piece 47 to turn the pawl member 40 in direction that the pawl end 141 is separated from the sector tooth 31 of the partial tooth member 30. |
