A telephone handset has a handle portion formed with at least one aperture 3 extending therethrough. It is preferably of two-part construction, having a base part 1 and a cover part 2. The base part 1 is provided with recesses 6 and 7 for accommodating receiving and transmitting acoustic transducers.
