<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [X is 4-OH, 3-OH, 3,4-(OH)2; (n) is 0-2]. EXAMPLE:N-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzamide. USE:A hepatopathy-suppressing agent. PREPARATION:A carboxylic acid derivative of formula II is condensed with m-aminophenol, p-aminophenol or 4-aminocatechol by a condensation reaction method such as a mixed acid anhydrides method, and subsequently subjected to a protecting group-removing reaction to provide the compound of formula I. The compound of formula I is administered generally with an amount of 10-2000mg, preferably 20-600mg a day for an adult.</p> |
