PURPOSE:To enable a railway crossing accident due to the failure of a gate and an alarm to be prevented by transmitting information regarding the failure to a conductor on a train, sending the train information regarding the state of the gate and alarm, when the train is near a crossing, and automatically actuating a brake. CONSTITUTION:A railway crossing alarm device DC is provided with a transmission means ST for transmitting gate closing alarm information SG to a train TR, in addition to an open and non-alarm judgment means BC for identifying whether a railway crossing is open or an alarm is operating. On the other hand, the train is equipped with a receiving means RV for receiving the closing alarm information SG from the transmission means ST, and a logic section LS for making judgment about brake control and operation, on the basis of the received information. The railway crossing alarm device LC sends closed and alarm information SG according to closing state via the transmission means ST, regardless of the detection of the train TR in a crossing alarm division AL. According to the aforesaid construction, the closed and alarm information SG is normally a signal to mean the failure of a gate and alarm. Also, the information becomes a signal to stand for closing and alarm completion, only when the ingress of the train TR into a crossing alarm division AL is detected to actuate the proper operation of the alarm device LC and to complete the closing of the railway crossing under the operation of the alarm. |
