<p>The present invention relates to a pulley for an automatic speed variator whose operational noise is decreased with respect to pulleys known to date. It comprises a stationary flange mounted so as to be securely fastened to a drive shaft of a motor and a movable flange provided to be able to slide axially on the said shaft, the flanges having a frustoconical shape to form between them a V-shaped groove in which there is mounted a trapezoidal belt, a cap being mounted so as to be securely fastened to one end of the shaft to form a first inclined ramp opposite a second inclined ramp provided at the rear of the movable flange, centrifugal weights bearing upon each of the ramps when they are subjected to centrifugal forces generated by the rotation of the pulley, a helical return spring mounted axially on the shaft being provided to exert a return force which opposes the axial action force of the centrifugal weights. The movable flange (3) is extended, towards the rear, by an axial annular body (8) securely fastened, at its rear, to a coaxial sleeve (9) mounted so as to slide axially on the drive shaft (2), an axial ring (12) being mounted at the front of the annular body (8) securely fastened on the shaft (2) and sliding on the internal surface of the annular body (8). <IMAGE></p> |
