<p>The present invention relates to a cigarette lighter, of the type comprising on the one hand a removable plug (1) provided with a dish (11) at one end holding an electrical heating body (10), and on the other hand a hollow igniting body (2) provided with a catch element (3) and with electrical power supply parts (4, 5), in which cigarette lighter a protective device for preventing overheating is inserted in the said supply circuit of the electrical heating body (10). The said protective device consists of a resettable thermal circuit breaker (30) with a positive temperature coefficient and pierced for the passage of an insulating centring piece belonging to an electrical insulating piece (6, 7; 72) carried by the cigarette lighter.
