PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically transfer a cup to be sealed to a sealer without employing an expensive mechanism such as an endless chain by dividing a sealer receiver into left one and right one so that they are moved toward or away from each other. CONSTITUTION:When a cup to which a cover is to be attached in a sealed manner, in engagement with a cup engaging piece 7, is sent by an endless belt 6 to a point under a sealer 1, the belt 6 is stopped temporarily. Sealer receivers 12, 13 approach the cup C from both sides and a receiving seat is placed under the edge of the cup to be sealed. Since the edge of the cup C frequency hangs downward, a piston in a cylinder is lowered slightly to lower the bottom plate. As a result, the cup is lowered so that the receiving seat of the sealer receiver gets into a sealing part to receive a sealer 1. |
