PURPOSE:To improve cushioning ability, fitness to a surface to be polished, and holding ability and fluidity of grinding grains by impregnating a felt, body, consisting mainly of fibers having latent crimping properties and being easy to wear, with cushion body forming resin containing thermal reaction type urethane resin. CONSTITUTION:A felt body 1 consisting mainly of fibers S having latent crimping properties and being easy to wear is impregnated with cushion body forming resin 3 containing thermal reaction type urethane resin. This constitution realizes a felt where resin 3 molten by a polishing heat is hard to form a film and a thick section and cushion ability are provided. Besides, fibers S1 of which a polishing surface consists are properly worn through friction with a surface to be polished to expose new fibers S1 one by one. The newly exposed fibers S1 are immediately crimped by means of a wet heat during polishing and high polishing ability is maintained for a long period. |
