PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly of an air bag device while increasing rigidity of air bag cloth in a gas introducing port edge part by sticking synthetic resin to the edge part of a gas introducing port in an air bag for front passenger's seat use, and forming this edge part in a plate shape. CONSTITUTION:An air bag 50 is a swollen spread drum shape and molded by stitching together a cloth piece 51 of constituting a peripheral surface and cloth pieces 52, 53 of constituting a side surface. In an edge part of a gas introducing port 54 of the air bag 50 thus obtained, a thin synthetic resin-made sheet 56 is formed by injection molding in both obverse/reverse sides of a peripheral surface of the gas introducing port 54 while arranging a ring-shaped reinforcing cloth 55, and an iron plat 57 is inserted as a reinforcing member to the sheet 56. Here by providing a through port 58 in the air bag 50, reinforcing cloth 55 and the iron plate 57 to form synthetic resin by injection molding in the inside of this through port 58, a pair of the sheets 56 are integrally formed by interposing the air bag 50. A stud bolt 59, provided in the sheet 56, can be screwed to a container of an air bag device. |
