<p>PURPOSE:To always stably remove ammonia and org. matter by adding ammonia to water to be treated before and after flocculation and sedimentation and adding phosphoric acid or phosphate to water to be treated before sand filtering or after ozone treatment. CONSTITUTION:When ammonia 6 is added to water 1 to be treated before and after a fluoccuation and sedimentation tank 2, the concn. of ammonia necessary for the culture of bacteria such as nitrifying bacterial cultured in a biological activated carbon- adsorbing type basin 5 is ensured. When phosphoric acid or phosphate is added to the water 1 to be treated at a place before a sand filtering basin 3 or at a place after on ozone contact tank 4 or at both places, the concn. of phosphoric acid or phosphate necessary for the culture of bacterial such a nitrifying bacterial cultured in the biological activated carbon-adsorbing type basin 5 is ensured. Therefore, a proper amount of ammonia and a proper amount of phosphoric acid or phosphate are always dissolved in the water 1 to be treated supplied to the biological activated carbon-adsorbing type basin 5 throughout a year and bacteria can be cultured on biological activated carbon without being affected by the seasonal change in the quality of water to be treated.</p> |
