<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a carbon dioxide adsorbent adsorbing carbon dioxide at low temp. and discharging the same at high temp. and usable repeatedly by adding an amine and water to at least one adsorbent selected from active carbon, a silica gel, alumina and zeolite. CONSTITUTION:A carbon dioxide adsorbent is constituted by adding an amine and water to at least one adsorbent selected from a group consisting of active carbon, a silica gel, alumina and zeolite. As the amine compound used at this time, an amine compound having an mol.wt. per one N-atom of 110 or less and a b.p. of 100 deg.C or higher, for example, monoethanolamine or triethylenediamine is pref. This carbon dioxide adsorbent is high in the reactivity with carbon dioxide in air and easily regenerated and always hold moisture without requiring special operation. Therefore, this adsorbent is suitable for a purpose removing carbon dioxide in air through the continuous repetition of adsorption and regeneration.</p> |
