<p>PURPOSE:To detect a roll mark on the line by picking up a steel plate with an infrared camera, identifying a low temperature part, finding an OR and an AND between pictures, and detecting the presence of the roll mark based on the radio of the picture numbers by which they are formed. CONSTITUTION:The infrared camera 20 picks up a picture corresponding to one revolution of a rolling roll for the steel plate 10. An arithmetic unit 23 stores a picture of an area corresponding to the N-th area of the rolling roll. This picture is defined picture A. Then, a picture of an area corresponding to the picture of the (N+1)-th area is stored. This picture is defined as picture B. Low temperature parts are searched about the picture A and B, the number of the picture elements at the low temperature parts are counted and the sum N of the number of the picture elements of both pictures is found. Then, the picture elements of the picture A is compared with the picture elements of the picture B at the corresponding coordinates and the number X of the picture elements when the picture elements on both pictures are located on the low temperature area is counted. When X/N>C (a prescribed reference value), the steel plate 10 is detected to be provided with a roll mark.</p> |
