This invention relates to perfluoro-2,3,4-trimethylpentane of formula (I): and to a process for preparing the same. More in particular, the invention relates to a new trisubstituted perfluoropentane which, as it does not comprise quaternary carbon atoms, is thermally stable and useful in many appliances in the sector of the electronic industry.
