<p>PURPOSE:To markedly improve production efficiency and to obtain the golf ball which is improved in the accuracy of dimples and is decreased in fluctuations by disposing the dimples formed or corrected by cutting or thermoworking using molds on a seam after molding, thereby forming the constitution in which the large circular passages without intersecting with the dimples do not exist at all on the surface of the golf ball. CONSTITUTION:The dimples 4 are molded on the surface of the ball 3 exclusive of the seam along the mold joint line L' simultaneously with molding of the ball 3 by the metallic molds 1A, 1B. These dimples 4 are so disposed that the large circular passages without intersecting with the dimples do not exist except on the seam. Burrs 6 are then removed by polishing of a centerless system. Plural pieces of the dimples 3 are formed apart intervals on the large circular passages 5 from which the burrs 6 are removed, by thermoworking using the molds. The working of the dimples 7 to be formed on the large circular passages 5 is easily and rapidly executed, if a working tool which is provided with the arc-shaped base plate part 8b along the large circular passage at the front end of the shaft part 9c of an iron 9 and is provided with plural pieces of the base plate part 9b is used in the thermoworking by the molds. The working of the dimples 7 to be formed on the large circular passages 5 is easily and rapidly executed in this way.</p> |
