<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect skip stitches and the like positively and accurately without the effect of the irregularities of the surface of rubber coated cord fabric, by obtaining the conspicuous difference between the transmitting amounts of a high frequency signal with a specified output power, which transmits through the rubber coated cord fabric at the skip stitch part and the normal part. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting head sensor 3 and a receiving sensor head 5 for high frequency signal are arranged so as to face each other, with strip shaped rubber coated cord fabric 4 in-between. A high frequency wave having a specified output power is transmitted from the transmitting sensor 3 at a specified pulse interval. The high frequency signal, which is transmitted through the rubber coated cord fabric 4, is received with the receiving sensor 5. The skip stitch or the gage of the rubber coated cord fabric 4 is detected based on the intensity of the received signal. The transmitted amount of the high frequency wave, which is transmitted through the skip stitch part of the rubber coated cord fabric 4 is larger than the transmitting amount of the high frequency wave, which is transmitted through the normal part without the skip stitch. The difference between weak output signals and the intense output signal becomes conspicuous. Therefore, the presence of the skip stitch part can be definitely detected.</p> |
