METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING/EDITING DOCUMENT

PURPOSE:To edit a document with high efficiency by calculating the size of a screen where the document to be edited is displayed from the format and the form size of the document. CONSTITUTION:When the format of a document to be edited is changed, the size of a screen is calculated for display of the document equivalent to one page in the changed format. Based on this calculated size, the size of a display/ editing screen is changed. The document format can also be changed when the document to be edited is newly read into a document editing device as well as when the document editor changes the format based on the format change of the document editing device. Thus it is possible to edit a document after displaying the document on an editing screen by an amount equal to one page. Then the editing speed is increased.
