PURPOSE:To facilitate file management by automatically preparing an index file indicating the connection between stored files from the stored files. CONSTITUTION:When a file is stored in a file storing means 1, an attribute adding means 2 adds attribute information to the file. A file extracting means 3 extracts files to which prescribed attribute information is added from the plural files stored in the means 1, and an index preparing means 4 prepares an index about prescribed items in the extracted files. Then an index registering means 5 stores the prepared index in the file storing means 1 as an index file. Accordingly, an index file indicating the connection between the stored files can be automatically prepared. Therefore, file management becomes easier. |
