PURPOSE:To enable a user to make a reference to a central processing unit for his identification number by sending the personal information of the user read out of a card to the central processing unit in response to an identification number inquiry command and outputting the identification number corresponding to the sent personal information to terminal equipment after reading out the identification number from a storage device. CONSTITUTION:Plural automatic teller machine (ATM) groups 101 installed to each branch office, etc., are connected to a central processing unit 8 provided with a storage device 7 through communication lines. In addition, it is contrived that the personal information of a user read from the card of the user is sent to the unit 8 in response to an identification number inquiry command and the identification number corresponding to the personal information is read out from the device 7 and outputted to terminal equipment. Therefore, the user can make a reference to the central processing unit 8 for his identification number. |
