PURPOSE:To enable the extension of a core side connector and perform extension work simply in a short time by forming a connector unit in the extendable state, and providing a movable stage with a position detecting means cable of optically detecting the connecting position of the extended core side connector. CONSTITUTION:A connector unit 7 is formed in the extendable state. At the time of providing a core side connector 4 additionally, the initial address setting of the core side connector 4 is automatically performed by a position detecting means while moving a movable stage 3 into the design position of the core side connector 4. This means the initial address setting of the core side connector 4 is performed after fitting the connector unit 7 to a selector body 2. Accuracy at the time of fitting the core side connector 4 to the connector unit 7 or the connector unit 7 to the selector body 2 is not therefore required. As a result, the increase in the number of additional lines can be appropriately corresponded to by the extension of the connector units 7 and the initial address setting work at this time can be performed simply in a short time.
