PURPOSE:To prevent a balance weight from rusting by applying a rust preventive film for preventing galvanic corrosion, wherein various kinds of resin paint are applied in multilayers, to a whole surface containing a portion near a contact boundary of a joint part between a weight body and a clip. CONSTITUTION:A weight body 1 constituted of lead and a lead alloy and a clip 2 constituted of spring steel are mechanically joined together for integral formation. For this purpose, after the clip 2 is pressed, zinc plating and chromate treatment are applied thereon and the clip is inserted in a mold. By casting the weight body 1 by using a lead alloy, integral formation is carried out. A first material 7 of epoxy resin paint having excellent adhesion, serving as a rust preventive film 6, a second material 8 of urethane resin paint to relax mechanical impact force, and a third material 9 of acryl resin paint capable of providing durability are applied, in order from inside to outside, in a three- layer state on a whole surface containing a portion near a contact boundary between the weight body 1 and the clip 2.
