PURPOSE:To perform the transmission/reception of files between the host computer in use and a partner host computer and also to eliminate the fear of destruction of the files to be transmitted and received by providing a data control file generating means and a processing result file generating means. CONSTITUTION:The host computers 1 and 2 are connected to each other via a line 3 performs the transmission/reception of files. A data control file generating means 4 generates a data control file and sends it to the partner computer 2 from the present computer 1. A processing result file generating means 5 actuates the program designated by the received data control file to perform the designated processing. Then the means 5 sends the processing result to the computer 1 from the computer 2. Thus a data file can be written into the computer 2 from the computer 1. Then the computer 1 receives the data file sent from the computer 2 as a processing result file and can write it. As a result, the data file is never destroyed.
