The invention relates to a method and device for fastening casement hinges for doors and shutters into walls. The method consists in temporarily and strictly making a material representation of the axis of symmetry of the sealing tongue of the hinges with respect to the socket for articulating the hinge pins. The corresponding device is made up of a jig (30) including a heel (31) perpendicular to a base part (32) with hole (321) and shoulders (322 and 323) surmounted by a shank (33) with a screw thread (34) on which is mounted a washer (4) and a nut (5).
