摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain desired steering characteristics with respect even to tires presenting non-linear behaviour or motions, by calculating actual steer angles for front and rear wheels on the basis of various types of signals, and operating an oil pressure type steering means in accordance with the front/rear wheel actual steer angles so as to steer the front wheels and the rear wheels independently. CONSTITUTION:To calculation means 8 are inputted four signals, i.e., a steer-angle signal 8i issued from a handle steer-angle sensor 9 through sensing operation thereof, a vehicle speed signal U issued from a vehicle speed sensor through sensing operation thereof, a yaw rate signal (r) issued from a yaw rate sensor 11 through sensing operation thereof, and a lateral slip speed signal (v) issued from a lateral speed sensor 12 through sensing operation thereof. Then, the calculation means 8 performs its calculation operation in accordance with specified procedures to generate a steer control signal to a rear-wheel steering means 13 and to a front-wheel steering means 14. In response to the output signals from these two means, oil-pressure steering means 5, 6 for rear and front wheels conduct their steering operations with respect to the rear and front wheels. Further, since it is necessary to feed the steer reaction force from the front wheels back to a steering handle 7 from the standpoint of a driver's steering feel, the oil pressure outputted from the front-wheel steering means 14 is detected to give a suitable reaction force to the steering handle 7 via a steer reaction- force transmission means 16.
