<p>PURPOSE:To effectively reutilize an aluminum electric wire for a high purity electric wire by converting an aluminum electric wire after removing into chips, dissolving the surface part by filtering and washing with an alkaline aq. soln. and precipitating aluminum hydroxide from a filtrate to obtain alumina as a by-product. CONSTITUTION:A removed high purity aluminum electric wire is cut into chips. The chips are immersed into an alkaline aq. soln. of pH>=8 and are filtered and washed to obtain cleaned chipped aluminum. From the filtrate, aluminum hydroxide is precipitated, which is burnt to obtain Al2O3. The filtrate from which aluminum hydroxide has been filtered away is reutilized for an immersing soln. for chipped aluminum to be subjected to the following treatment. In this way, resources can effectively be utilized. Furthermore, this system is useful from the viewpoint of preventing environmental pollution.</p> |
