Process for controlling weeds in maize fields by means of a mixture of aclonifen and another herbicide of the N-chloroacetamide type. Process for controlling weeds in maize fields, characterised in that a mixture consisting of aclonifen and at least one herbicide chosen from acetochlor, metazachlor, alachlor and metolachlor, is applied to the site where the maize seeds were sown, before their germination.
