There is provided a front face (3), a movement (2) carrying a needle (5), with an indicator index (8) mounted on a cylindrical plate (11). The assembly to the front face (3) is achieved by passing the index (8) on the rear side through an opening (17) arranged in the front face. The needle (5) has a mask (10) for the needle head (9) and a front face (3) is supported by a plate (4). The opening (17) has a reduced size so that it allows the passage only to the needle index (8). There is provided another orifice (18) in the plate (4) which support the front face in order to receive the cylindrical plate (11) supporting the movement works. The invention applies to motor vehicles.
