<p>PURPOSE:To improve the storage efficiency of articles different in shape and size by setting one wall of a storage room as the reference side, then selecting plural storage proposed positions on the basis of the input data of articles to be stored, and storing the articles into the proposed position shortest in distance from the reference side among the respective proposed positions. CONSTITUTION:The wall W2, for instance, of a storage room 100 is defined/set as the reference side by a reference side defining means 30. When the shape and measure of an article to be accommodated is inputted into a proposed position extracting means 10 from an information input means 20, two articles to be stored in mutual contact are selected through an accommodating information holding part 11 and a symmetric object selecting part 12. An adaptability judging part 13 judges the adaptability of two selected articles. On the basis of the judgment of adaptability, a proposed position computing part 14 computes an accommodating position for bringing both articles into contact with each other. The distance of each proposed position thus computed from the wall W2 is obtained by a distance computing means 40, and the one with minimum distance is determined as the storage position.</p> |
