Starting from waste, all the materials which contaminate it are extracted from it, these extracts are subjected to an electrolysis operation under conditions such that any cations depositing on the cathode directly form, as the electrolysis progresses, with the material which constitutes it, a stable physicochemical combination for fixing the said cations, and the latter is then recovered in order to store it.
