PURPOSE:To selectively evaluate only large NGs, that can not be neglected, with slight NGs deleted, by a method wherein NG signals are issued against NGs that appear at the same position on two or more sheets of printed matter more frequently than specified during printing. CONSTITUTION:A main CPU counts the number of picture elements in NG status according to the comparison results of a comparison circuit, 24, and when the counted number per sheet becomes the set value or larger, it issues a NG signal. In addition, it consults the contents in an NG memory 36 and when the NGs appear at the same position on the printed matter 5 of the specified number of sheets or more, it issues an NG signal. That is, in the case the size of spoilage exceeds a given one by some extend or spoilages continuously appear on the same position, it issues an NG signal. As a result, an inserter 12 inserts a tape 13 onto the spoilage. At the same time, an alarm 25 is put in action, and the generation of spoilage is indicated on a color monitor 28. |
