The synchronisation system allows a digital data transmission synchronised by a clock signal (ET) provided by a central (ISDN) to be synchronised with an analogue network clock source for the digital network (PSTN). A comparator (V) is provided at the interface between the digital network (ISDN) and the analogue network (PSTN) for comparing the central clock signal (ET) with the network clock (ST). The result of this comparison is fed to the data transmitter via the digital network (ISDN) and used for clock corrections. The transmission of the comparison results is pref. effected in each of several successive transmission frames.
