PURPOSE:To enable a TCP to be mounted on the front and the rear of two glass plates at prescribed positions by a method wherein a liquid crystal display element is fixed to a jig by the single chucking operation of a fixing means, and the fixing means is turned by an angle of 180 deg.. CONSTITUTION:A mounting jig 10 is supported by a pin 20 at a frame 21 in a freely rotatable manner, and a locating pin 23 closely inserted into a hole 22 in a freely slidable manner is inserted into a hole 34, whereby the jig 10 can be fixed. In this state, a TCP(tape carrier package) 2a is mounted on a glass plate 1b of a liquid crystal display element 1. Then, the mounting jig 10 is turned by an angle of 180 deg. to the frame 21, and the locating pin 23 is inserted into the holes 22 and 24 again to fix the jig 10 to the frame 21. By this setup, the liquid crystal display element 1 can be rotated by an angle of 180 deg. and fixed without unclamping the element 1 from a jig, whereby a TCP 2b can be mounted on a glass plate 1a through a hole provided to the mounting jig 10. |
