Slip-control vehicle braking system - incorporates building block principles to create compact design

The vehicle braking system incorporates a slip-dependent control of the braking pressure. It has a dividing valve (1) between the master cylinder (23) and the wheel brake (24). The braking system is constructed on the building block principle and the valve has three effective surfaces: the first and largest (A1) is subject to the master cylinder; the second (A2) is subject to pressure from a pump (22); and the third and smallest (A3) is subject to wheel brake pressure. USE/ADVANTAGE - Braking unit for vehicle in which considerable cost reductions can be achieved by virtue of the building block design.
