<p>In a cutting frame (1) upper and lower rollers (4, 5) are mounted on horizontal shafts. The lower roller is driven by a V belt. Endless band saws (7) are wound over opposite ends of the rollers in such a manner that a cross-over occurs in the centre between the rollers. The saws lay flat on the rollers and are turned through 90 deg. to present the cutting edges. The saws are positioned to run in parallel at a selected distance via motor driven multiple pulleys (9, 10) which have infinite adjustment potential. Bread or similar product is fed through the system for cutting into slices.</p> |
