<p>The liq. heat-treatment process is partic. for pasteurising milk, the latter being pumped out of a cold storage tank and pre-heated in several stages by contra-flow heat-exchange, after which it is brought to processing temp. by continuous-flow heat-exchange. The heat of the processed liq. is at least partly used for pre-heating. Whenever it is noticed that the desired final temperature is not being reached, delivery of cold liq. by the pump is shut off and the liq. is recirculated in the area where heating to final temp. takes place.</p> |
