The wire shaped HF needle electrode (7) is arranged axially movable in the hollow shaft (3). The HF needle electrode (7) is made from a single wire of high elasticity, and at its distal end region, it is provided with two kink points arranged one behind the other. The distance between the kink points corresponds approximately to the dia. of the wire, forming the needle electrode, and which have respectively a deflection angle of a max. 45 deg. The HF needle electrode (7) is made from a Ni-Ti alloy. The handle includes a first handle part (2), in which the hollow shaft (3) is secured at the proximal side, and a second handle part (12), in which the proximal end of the needle electrode guided in the hollow shaft, is fixed. The second handle part is arranged axially movable compared to the first in the axis direction of the hollow shaft. USE/ADVANTAGE - Surgical instrument. Reduces strain on patient without adversely affecting flexibility of electrode.
