<p>A pack for a liq. used for storing or cleaning of contact lenses, in which the liq. is contained in a cup with a removable closure, the cup being placed in a container consisting of a base holding the cup and a lid which upon closing the container forms a liq.-tight seal on the pack. Pref. the liq. contains H2O2 and the lid carries a metal catalyst which is e.g. in the form of a star which contacts the liq. when the lid of the container is closed to cause decomposition of the H2O2. A valve is provided in the lid to allow the release of gases such as O2 which are evolved. Pref. the liq. contains an amt. of salt so that after decomposition of the H2O2 a physiological saline soln. results.</p> |
