<p>The machine-tool table has parallel undercut grooves in the surface on which the work is held, together with clamps engaging in the grooves. Each groove (A,B,C) incorporates a channel (4) of V-section tapering inwards from the mouth (3) in the table surface. This leads into the top of a circular-section groove passage (6). Each clamp (10) has a mating top parti-cylindrical supporting surface (8), bearing against the underside (9) of the top part of the cylindrical passage wall.</p> |
