<p>PURPOSE:To lower the contact resistance against the ground and the lawn of the sole part by maintaining width of the sole face against width of a head in a specific relation, and also, forming a shape extending from the sole face to the back end part of a golf club in a desired R shape. CONSTITUTION:In a wood club head W1, it is formed by maintaining a relation of head width L1, that is, length (length between A-B') between the face and the back, and sole width L2, that is, length (length between B-B') seen in the direction of head width of the sole face, in a relation of L2<=1/2L1. Also, a shape extending from the sole face to the back end part of the club is formed in a desired R shape. In such a way, contact resistance of the sole face against the ground and the lawn, etc., is extremely small, therefore, an easily swingable club is obtained. Also, since the sole face is small, probability of a collision of the sole face and the ground is low, and possibility of generation of duffing becomes very small.</p> |
